Default Viral Marketing - FREE myspace give away

Ive never done any viral marketing but i want to. Im not a mebmer of myspace but obviously its a big buzz thing at the moment.

My partner in our Fashion Jewelry company is always on myspace and I think we are missing out on an opportunity to sell whilst having a fun time. Im sure everyone who has tried viral marketing through myspace have all had different results and I would like to get views on a daft idea i have

The Idea
Basically, FREE gift to every new friend who you can recommend to be a friend to me/partner for example a free piercing like http://www.bodyjewelryshopping.com/england-2.htm

I believe it would have to be done in a crazy non serious way like "first million friends" kind of link.

Nothing is obviously free in this world so you would have to pay shipping of say 2.95 dollars which is next to nothing these days.

Do these types of viral ideas ever take off and if so views and comments on dos and donts please before i jump in and make a fool of myself and waste loads of time.

Hey Steven1976a,

I went to your site and had some small trouble, I then tried to post this note through your site's 'Your Feedback' link and this is the message I got in the browser:

My message:
Quote:
Hey, just to give you a freindly heads up,

I'm on an older (but functional) Dell Inspiron Laptop and your menu font-color is really washed out into the white background. It makes it very difficult to read on this box.

I know this monitor is a little low-contrast, but I know other people (especially Mac users) who have this same problem on some sites.

My guess is you will make a better impression by darkening that copy to a darker 'silver' in the spectrum.

Peace,

Kevin
Browser message when I tried to send it:

This is confusing at best.

Hope my feedback is helpful in an 'off-topic' kind of way.
