A bunch of free directories added to Best Web Directories

I have just finished adding a dozen new free directories to the best free directory list. The list includes reviews of about 70 high PageRank directories. If you have used the list in the past, just look for the

for new additions.

The list is now up-to-date after some hard work. I was amazed at how many long-time free directories have moved to paid. Hope there isn't another bunch with this new toolbar PR update.

Can you guarantee that they are SEO friendly?

PR does not mean much to me.

They are SEO friendly and SEO friendly means more to me than just providing a direct link.

A SEO friendly directory:
- provides a direct link
- does not have multiple directories stored on the same IP or IP C Class
- does not have duplicate category structures as other directories
- site is ranked reasonably well in the search engines
- does not have a predominance of non SEO friendly backlinks (e.g. sitewide links, repetitive link text)

OBR, since you seem to be a expert in these directories, I would love to see a list of websites that would allow for deep linking as well as linking to the home page. Deep linking is so much more important these days.

Lots of directories only link out to the home page.

Good idea. I can easily put together a list from the sites we submit to as part of our submission service as we keep track of the ones that accept internal pages.

I'll let you know when it is up.
