How to market my new website - need to reach...

Hi all,
Im curious how to market my new website "topblogarea.com", i need to reach as many blog owners as possible.
I have emailed a few to get a few signups but im ready to move on.
So what can be the best way?

Forums are great. Like here you can have your site or blog reviewed in the site review section. Forums in general is great place to find bloggers. key is reach out with a "I scracth your back you scratch mine" attitude. What is your blog about? find people with similar interests in forum on said topic.

Forums are definitely a great place to market a site to blog owners, so you should start off by putting a link in your signature.

Try to post some solid information in forums geared toward blogging and blog promotion. If you give good info, people will respect you as an expert in the field and may click your link to find more information.

Also, you might want to contact some of the people who maintain lists of blog directories and submit your site to their list. You can get a lot of submissions by being on the top lists.

Submit your site in blog directories, also promote your blog through forum, give good quality posts to your visitors this will help in word of mouth promotion.

Post on forums - I recommend selecting a handful and becoming rather active as opposed to participating on a large amount of forums infrequently.

Just recently I was asked to be a moderator because I participated on a forum very regularly and ended up reciving a free moderator ad block on every page of the site for accepting the moderator role. I thought that was pretty cool, and never knew anything like that even existed.

Agreed. You have to build a community on your website. In this way, members will themselves share the information about your site. Cater to an environment that is supportive and accommodating.
