Default Artwork & Page Design

I seem to have a hard time finding someone that can do artwork and page design (HTML) and end up workign with a artist that does not know the web and another person for the page design.

Is this the way it is with most site owners? I find it hard to get good art from one source and then good page design from another source with me in the middle that does not know much :-)

How do most really good sites get this done?

I guess you've not been looking in the right places. I do both pretty well. I've also got a full pipeline, and that's probably why.

Hi,

What you're experiencing is normal. Many website designers say, and think, they can do graphics. And many graphic designers say they can make websites. Most of them are wrong. I have seen a few that can do both, but they are few and far between. The problem is that clients, like yourself, want both of these skills in one person and the designers and webmasters want work so they say they can do both.

I would suggest looking for a website designer that works with a graphic artist. That way you get the best of both worlds.

Have Fun,
Jeff

Default web vs. graphic design

I definitely can vouch for that. I am a graphic design student and even I don't necessarily enjoy doing the web side of things. Good luck trying to find one who will.
