Default Getting into a new market ?

If I have a website .com and want to get into a new market, let's say Asia, can I use this website.com to get into this market, is it possible? I heard that the SE are going local so if the site is .com it would only be displayed in América, also because it is hosted in Canada?

I would appreciate any comments respect to this subject.

Sure you can, but if you are worried about search engine rankings then you should consider building out a new website for each language/country to get the best results.

You need enough keywords in your websites related to Asia in order to get indexed properly, i.e. the Keyword "Asia" or relevant Cities, etc. The SE should be smart enough to pick up this information.
