Default adCenter Discriminates IE vs Firefox

MSN's new AdCenter is only accessible if using IE.

I tried signing up for the Microsofts new adCenter PPC and got:

"Microsoft adCenter does not currently support the web browser you are using. Please sign in using Internet Explorer 6+"

what the hell?!?!?!

It started with Windows updates and now this. They're so lame. If it wasn't for my client wanting us to advertise there, i would never.

LAME O

I signed up with them also and was disappointed to find this out.

The ads do not seem to be doing great either. Lots of impressions, not many clicks.

I guess I scratch "check out adcenter" off my TO DO list.

I actually can't believe it...

Default They'll learn

I hate to sound so web 2.0, but this sort of behaviour is so web 1.0. One day Microsoft will learn. At the simplest level much of the search engine community prefers Firefox. So in many respects Microsoft are shooting themselves in the foot.

I would love to see their version of Adsense launched internationally. Would be healthy to have an alternative, but the way things are going already I wonder if it will be worth it...

.. add to the list of sites built by people that don't know how to build websites lol...

dburdon, like that web 2.0 mindset!

Does this mean that the end user functionality of the AdCenter may not work properly also???

I like MSN too, here in Canada Sympatico (Bell Canada) uses MSN affiliation for their home page, so I get a ton of business and traffic via MSN search (so do my Canadian clients).

note to self: advise clients to use Rogers Yahoo! over Sympatico MSN for their ISP.

Default Use Explorer

Found a solution for Windows users.

If you'd rather puke than download IE use the following solution to work with Adcenter.

- Right-click on your start button
- Click on explore
- use the address bar above to suf the web

If you do not see the address bar, right click on the gay area on top to include it.

Explorer's really useful, solved a couple of my issues in the past as well.

non IE users +1
