Where to submit articles?

I recently wrote a few articles, and I plan to use them on my website, and also syndicate them on pages like www.searchwarp.com and other similar sites.

My question is what other sites are there to submit articles to? And which are legitimate and well respected?

Please reply with any good sites I should submit my articles to, and please also reply if you see any problems with submitting to these sites, such as duplicate content and so forth.

If you're not sure which is more popular, you could compare them on alexa.com's traffic rank tool - not by any means infallible, but should give a general idea of which article site is top or gaining in popularity and therefore audience/distribution figures.

Hi,

As long as the topic of your article meets the criteria of the site, then submit to as many as you can. Some sites specialize, like business, writing, photography, etc.

I've used Article Sender and been happy with the result.. You get a fair amount of declines, but the mass submission is easy and free..

Talking about articles, I came across a post by someone who has submitted 400 articles. No kidding! The guy says he has traffic coming all the time as a result of these articles

Article marketing is a very good strategy to build backlinks, traffic and credibility all with one swoop.
Problem is, there are lots of different directories and if time is a factor you may wish to focus on submitting to the top traffic directories only - posting to all wont harm you, but arguably the time may be better spent applying other marketing techniques.

The ones I use are:

Hi, I have a quick question. O.k. so people say submit to all article directories. That kind of does not make sense. If you submit the same article to so many different directories, the problem is going to be duplicate content. So would the links still count? Even if it is duplicate content?

If not, what is the purpose of submitting to 400 sites?

I don't think submitting a single article to 1000 article directories will serve any purpose. Only a few will be selected by Google and the others don't get noticed at all.

If you are too scared about duplicate content issue you can make some modification in those articles before posting them. Obviously it is time consuming and therefore you need to make sure the fact that you are giving unnecessary importance to it.

There are thousand and thousand article directories over the net. But Submitting into them may count your content as spam. so it will better to post into only few article directory (preferably 5 to 7) would be enough.

You can just do some article spinning changing some content and title and submit to different directories. Its obviours not all will approve you and not at the same time, so it actually worth a try if you have gotten the time.

I see... so what you mean is be lazy and spam. Contribute to the "cesspool" that Eric Schmidt was referring to.

Here's a novel idea... how about writing unique and interesting articles that have some real value?

Ezinearticles and go articles are my two fav, but I would write articles for those sites and keep the content on your site separate. Cause if your articles get indexed on their sites first your site might run into duplicate content issues or something. So keep the articles separate. Write articles just for article marketing.

Instead, socially bookmark anything you publish on your site.

I use the "share this" tool that I have on my wordpress blog, all I need to do is click on each one of these blog engines, then I submit the articles, it has worked very good for me

I would recommend ezinearticles. But don't submit the same article to other sites before getting approval from ezinearticles or they will reject your submission.

Why wait for 2 weeks ...if the article gets indexed from your website, you can go with the article submission anytime.

No, Google doesn't work that way. There is no such thing as a duplicate content penalty. You can post it as much as you want

You should also go for finding some clients for your articles on digitalpoint forum. In their Buy-sell-trade section you will find a number of buyers for your articles. It is a good place to buy or sell your articles, atleast have a look if you don't plan to sell it there.
