Default Marketing My Website

I recently started a website for a business I was running over the summer brokering used cars to people who have no or bad credit. During the summer I worked as a lifeguard and I would do all my work during breaks and it would make me around $500 extra each week so the market is there. At the time I was working strictly from my phone and I advertised through flyers, classifieds, occasional newspaper ads, etc.

Once school started, I no longer had time to talk to my dealers during normal business hours or could guarentee I'd be at my phone so I decided to start a website. Once I did this I continued advertising the same way but used my website rather than a phone number. I'm just not getting the amount of customers I was getting now that my business is online and I need a good but inexpensive way to bring customers.

With the type of website I have its difficult to target the type of people on other websites with banners and other methods. I am going to look into a press release but I haven't done so yet.

Thanks,
Rob

I can understand how your idea might really work. There's lots of people who could take advantage of it. The problem is school took you out of the mainstream of your business venture.

A common problem, one that often blind-sides people, is that they anticipate that a web site will replace them or is the solution to their business need. You must remember that a web site is merely and extension of your business, not the sum and substance of it.

Consider how you can stay involved with your dealers and clients. If your web site is an integral part of that relationship, you have to take the time to educate your contacts about your site and make their experience there enjoyable and fruitful. If you don't, soon you'll be done and can concentrate full-time on your education. Good Luck!

Cheap and untargeted? For me, that sounds as you need pixel advertising. That will bring you thousands visitors for a very low CPC.

The key is not just in the visitors, it's in your site concept.

What makes your site captivating?

Say someone who has no clue about your services visits your site [although interested in your type of service offer] and has the usual behavior of web surfer who is always in a hurry.... You've got 5 seconds to get him/her interested!

What do you think is going to happen?

Will they want to find out more? Why?
Will they use your service at once? Why?
Do they know your services are great? How?
If they don't buy from you at once, what will make them remember you at a later date when they have the time to sign up?

Ask yourself these questions and look at your site once more to see what changes you need to make.

Look at all possible scenarios and be prepared to handle them as they come… TEST TEST TEST

On the advertising side of things

Please see www.4weeksmarketing.net for a free download

I’ve just completed my action marketing guide which may help you. You’ll need to follow the simple instructions each day for 4 weeks. After the 4 weeks period, although you should see a significant increase in traffic, the real deal is that you will be able to create your very own long term real and effective action marketing plan that really works.

BRIEF INFO
=============
This manual was written with 3 thing at the back of my mind ... INFORMATION OVERLOAD and CONFUSION and FRUSTRATION

Unlike many marketing materials this one allows you to actually adopt what will work for you instead of strategies that have been used and abused so many times that they won't just work.

At the end of the end of the action course period you would see significant changes in your business, your thinking and will be in a position to market your business effectively without wasting a penny... even if you are broke, you will borrow with confidence knowing your system will work.

Enjoy

Sort of 'on topic'but not SEO
'YES Car Credit' just went into receivership here in the UK. Massive debts around £200million, advertised on TV - Newspapers, massive exposure. Lending money and supplying cars to people with bad debts. The people who took out loans at 18% simply said 'Well I had a Court Judgement for bad debt, what's one more!'
Now the receiver is trying to locate hundreds of vechicles.
