Default Press Releases

Hello,

I'm looking to have a press release written and then distributed for a new web service we're launching. Could anyone make some suggestions on services for writing and/or distribution services you found to be good?

Any other tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well.

Thanks!

-Will

Here are some press release sites you can submit to:

http://seoresources.seoforgoogle.com/press-releases.cfm

And here's a few articles on writing press releases:

As far as a service that creates them, I can't help ya out there, sorry...

I wrote my own press releases and send them out manually to various sites. I find the following free submission sites very useful in reaching out fast:

www.prweb.com - Free but welcome contribution. Very good reach as I notice many blogs pulling rss feed from prweb

www.i-newswire.com
www.prleap.com

Have fun.

Hi Will,

Along with PRWeb.com for news, I see that they now have a new portal for high-resolution images (such as a screen shot of your new site, or maybe an illustration you've crafted that shows how your new sites work, much like www.XPlane.com provides). It's free for the time being, but I have no idea how long that will last. You can see it at www.PRWebPhotowire.com

I suspect a press release or more on PRWeb will do the trick to get you listed, and even drive real traffic (I just finished a free blog on how to drive traffic using press releases at www.prwebsecrets.com, and you can download the free ebook on page 1 or page 3, left navigation menu).

Let me know how you do, and best of success to you!

All good points, however, one time press release will not likely get you listed (not well anyway), make sure you do your releases at least once a month or if not more often.

Default Fairly Comprehensive List of Press Release Sites

Hi guys,

If you'd like a comprehensive list of online press release venues, they're available on our blog - 26 in all. As you'll see I'm not a fan or affilite of the software program that is currently being sold as the ultimate online marketing solution. Legitimate press release sites, those that are currently being indexed by Google and/or Yahoo News, aren't much interested in duplicate content. What's more, most of the major players have already taken steps to defeat automated submissions which renders the software useless.

Blog

Good luck.

Default PR Web

As others have mentioned..... I have used PR Web with good success. I did invest a little more than average with my contribution but it appeared to pay off. Part of that of course is how many other press releases are done per day in your particular category on PR Web. Good luck

Distribution services are great and work well to help sites get listed in search engines and generate a few backlinks but there is not substitute to developing a list of influential media to whom you have a relationship and can send your release to directly.

It sure helps your backlinks as they are counted as one way backlinks to your site and yes, it does help you get listed in search engines.
