I think the best way around this, is to use each category/topic and build your keywords and comments around it...

The word "unforgiveness" appears on your front page - once spelled as "un-forgiveness" - but since it's not a real word, it's troublesome to me. The site is lovely to look at, but I think the text needs some attention before you attempt to market the site.

It's obvious you've put a lot of effort into building this site - but I hope you REALLY love your subject matter, because a site like this is going to pull in a lot of trolls and crazies! One of my forums became very popular this month, because of a specific event, and it took a lot more effort than I expected to patrol the boards. It's a gutsy move to start a site like this, and I definitely applaud your effort.

Congrats on your new site. The concept is nice and the look is great, but the desing from a code aspect needs some help.

cspelts brings up some good points and, as usual, offers great advice.

The site should be in a better state of repair before you worry about marketing too much in my opinion. In my opinion, your best marketing aspect at this point in the age of your site, is the site itself.

From a look, feel and concept perspective, your site looks nice. But you need to give yourself the best leg up possible through effective search engine optimization of the pages.

Your home page for starters:

The js in the top of the code will prevent many search engine bots from effectively crawling your site.

Your title should be something descriptive of your site, not your site title. Also, it should be the first element under <head>.

You should try to validate your code. IMO, W3C is the best source for this. (FYI - changing all "&" to "&amp;" will reduce the majority of your 50+ errors). Also, you should check the "show outline" option when validating your pages; you'll see that your page has no outline, which is accomplished using appropriate instances of headings h1, h2, h3 etc.

I don't think you need these meta tags:
Quote:
<meta name="allow-search" content="yes">
<meta name="revisit-after" content="14 days">
<meta name="audience" content="all">
<meta name="robots" content="all, index, follow">
<meta name="Rating" content="General">
<meta name="Language" content="en">
<meta name="distribution" content="Global">
<meta name="Classification" content="Community">
<meta name="Author" content="iforgive.com">
If you're sure that you need to define language, simply combine it with your html tag:
<html lang="en">

You could help youself a little more with effective descriptive use of alt-text, table ids and table summaries where appropriate.

When you site code and page content gets you effective and organic search engine rankings, you'll find your website doing most of the marketing for you. Beyond that, other sites and webmasters will be eager to link to and with you as a result.

Good Luck and Happy Ranking.

cani11-

Like the site...very stylish and easy to follow. Great concept!

Two quick ways to drive traffic to your site, is to create a series of 7 or so articles about how to better your life by forgiving people and release them to directories and ezine owners. Then you can use these articles to get people to join your email list.

Also, I would set up a whole bunch of helpful articles that are keyword rich. They should focus on helping people improve their lives while being optimized for search engines.

You can easily go to Wordtracker and find the high demand/low supply keywords that can easily draw in traffic.

Well anyway, good luck with your site!

Sincerely,
Scott

Hi Gary

Hi Gary,
Your site is well designed and layed out.

If you want to drive a lot of targeted traffic, you can use a FREE Viral Marketing System I have used that has tripled my site traffic on my main site in just 3 days.

How targeted this traffic is will depend on where you promote your Viral Marketing System page. Forums that deal with your subject matter will of course be obvious places to do that in your sig file.

Speaking of your sig file. Not sure if you haven't finished setting up yours here or you didn't get the code right. In either case, that needs to be correct with at least somewhat of a compelling tag/buy line that will entice people to click on your sig file link.

I think your site serves a genuine need. If you would like some help with sig files or other marketing issues, call me on my office line, Toll Free @ (888) 383-4223. I have 10 Years Full Time Home Office On line Marketing Experience. I wont' charge you any consultation fee's or anything, we can just throw around some ideas that might help you.

Adding your site to relevant directories can start out getting you some links.

Also sending out a press release to some of the online PR sites can help get your name out as well as build up a few back links.

This goes along with the idea of writing articles, as they get reprinted you get your name out as well as get a lot of good links.
