Default Anyone tried AdBrite

hi guys,

Does anyone have any experience with AdBrite. apparently they are very popular, although I've never really heard of them till a couple of days ago.

Would like to know if anyones used it either as a publisher or advertiser.

Looks interesting, but how well does it work? What effect do these paid links have on SEO efforts if any?

I have used adbrite for several years now, they changed their name about two years ago. They became very main stream when Alexa statred to use them. The ads pay well, you can have your own ads or network ads. Also you can customize the look of the ads very eaisly, unlike google adwords. check out http://www.milwacky.com look on the side, those are network ads. If you are using google adwords, and not happy with the payout or the standardized look, use adbrite

thanks ctollefsen, for the info. They look like a good deal, you can set your prices, manage your advertisers etc.

Your site was down when I tried, but I went to the adbrite website and saw some other samples. I was thinking of adding them to my adsense ad, one adsense and one adbrite ad.

You think that's against the Adsense TOS?

I saw a couple of guys with both on the page.

thanks oneofthe3lions,

against whos TOS Adbrites?

can't find them now, but i'm sure i saw some sites using both, and I'm not sure if it should be against Google TOS since, adbrite is not really contextual advertising, you're selling your own ads, I just took a quick look at the Google TOS.

Quote:
If you have elected to receive contextually-targeted Google ads, this would include all other contextually-targeted ads or links on the same page as Google ads. This would also include ads throughout the site that mimic Google ads or otherwise appear to be associated with Google on your site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads do not mimic Google ads. If you have elected to receive Google search services, this would include other search services on the same site and non-Google query-targeted ads. We do allow affiliate or limited-text links.

but then

mimic Google ads
I'll do some more research in the next few days on this. Anyone selling or buying ads from adbrite will probably be the right source...maybe they have a forum or something..will check and post here.
