Default Kanoodle traffic useless?

Some of my keywords are starting to get competitive, and I found them over at Kanoodle for only 5 cents. . . but have read that anything other than Adwords and Overtures are a click-fraud nightmare.

I set up a specific landing page, where all the Kannodle traffic came, and sent over 1500 clicks to it over a 7 day period. On the page were links back to the main site, a coded link to the product I was selling, and Google Adsense (the page looked like any other page, except I used a specific channel on this page).

Of the 3000+ clicks, 1 clicked through to the product(but did not buy), and 2933 exited the site - NONE of them via an Adsense ad (on average, about 9%-14% of the folks leaving my site click on an Adsense ad), the rest presuambly clicked on another internal link.

1. Is this a big enough sample ($150 - 3000 clicks over 7 days) to judge the trend?

2. Does anyone have a positive experience with Kanoodle (or Findwhat, etc.) that doesn't point to these terrible types of numbers?

Is anyone here using Kanoodle or Findwhat successfully?

Please let us hear about your success stories, or bombs.

Mostly 'bombs' I'm afraid - Now some PPC campaigns can work in a reverse sort of way. I'll explain.
Go to www.Mama.com and do a small ppc there. Last time I visited they had a $25 worth of free hits. Now I'm in the UK, so why on earth do a PPC on a USA SE? - Dead easy, Mama is Teoma, Ask Jeeves is Teoma and I found that by having a ppc at mama I got a listing on Teoma, I've been top on Ask Jeeves for 2 years now. It may not work for you, but it's sure worth a try. So are www.7search.com & www.Turbo10.com.

Default Used both

We've used both. We found the conversion rate was lower (order=conversion), hinting at lower quality click-thru's, but get more than enough business via their service to stick with them for 2 years now. Especially considering the lower-lower-lower cost of clicks.

I think a lot of it has to do with your product/target audience - broad reaching products to a large demographic may do better than niche products that have an audience that is 90% "Googler's". We gave it a try because of the relatively low cost to kick the tires.

I was of the original opinion that if it wasn't one of the big guys that it was "snake-oil", but was very wrong. Our aquisition cost per order on the second/third tier is much lower, but so is the sales volume versus the big guys. Nice extra business.

[you decide]
_______________
All in my opinion, which, when combined carefully with a $1 bill, gets you a cup of coffee at the corner store.
