Put very simply, change the name of the product. The spelling is awful, someone's ego has got in the way of the product. Sorry, but you did ask!

Default Well, not really

I didn't see the request for a critique of the product name and am not qualified to judge the "ego" part, so I'll try to address your original question:

Think of potential affiliates as customers - you need to do similar things to attract them. They need to be convinced that giving you space on their site will somehow benefit them, so they need to be sold on the benefits of your offerings, too, especially with such specialized products.

There are a number of services available to promote your program - just google "affiliate programs" and CAREFULLY scrutinaize the results - lots of snake-oil types in that realm.

Anyway, ctabuk is correct in that your product name isn't attractive as presented - I'd suggest getting it worked over "graphically" (create a product logo) that will be less confusing and promote that, getting away from the purely text play that doesn't look so pro and won't produce the desired results. You can then tie the new logo into your affiliate and advertising plans. Start with the marketing 101 stuff and get it nailed down, first, then head off to success!!!

The world is a matter of negotiation, either you convince him or get convinced by him as "ego" takes always the driver seat.

As far as name is concerned I remember a quote from Romeo and Juliet Act II, Scene 2.

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other word would smell as sweet." William Shakespeare.

There is no need to spell out that name. I mean to say that you'll require the "Quality" to your service, the quality lead you to establish your brand image either you keep any name.If you search the defination of name "google" it means "Google" is a popular search engine".

Hi,

I wasn't meaning to sound like a smart-ass or anything.. I would really like to know how you say the word... it was an honest question..

Cheers,

You need to instill the "fear of loss".... Instead of telling them how your product will soon be a brand name, you must tell them why your product sells so well now and they should be getting a piece of the action....

you can rewrite the page and then submit it to affiliate program lists or directories...

I agree with Amie on this one....

How do you say "Drmourad"?

Think of your offline promotion - how do you tell a printer over the phone, or newspaper classified clerk over the phone, the name of the product? What if you somehow get onto a local radio station talking about small businesses - and you have to talk about "Drmourad" - what do you say?

And ultimately - how do talk to other like minded individuals offline about "Drmourad"?

It is a good question.

Break the word Dr + mou-rad, you can keep "u" silent! During offline promotion when that name is repeated so many times, automatically people catch it.

I go back to 7 posts ago when the horse still had a breath or two:

Marketing 101: Product Logo & name development

Get past that part and the rest will happen - your message is relatively clear, but since the audience isn't a bunch of other doctors, take a page or two from the P&G or RJR/Nabisco marketing guides and develop a strong visual product identifier and use that when you get your message in front of the potential customer.

There is nothing wrong with using the Dr.'s name - it lends credibility when a physician feels so strongly about the product they'll put their name on it - just get it worked-over into a logo and spend your brain-time on how to get that logo in front of more potential customers.

I think that the thread has turn out to different topics, we are probably missing the original topics here that drmourad needs advice as "How can he increase the number of affiliates that join his program?"
