Just wanted to update. Many thanks again for your help.
Still PR2, but finally showing better rankings for these key words
concord california architects (especially in the local results)
concord residential architects
firestation architects

Your point about looking around in a site beyond keywords is well taken. Anyone feel like checking out my site and seeing if you were in the market for an architect, a firm you would consider contacting?

Thanks

I am adding an edit on this post, so that the user name is there for new posters to see, it's been a bit quiet here lately. But this thank you is very kindly given and I'm pleased that I could help. Good luck in the future Cheers David

Hello,

Another Newbie. I welcome all criticism and any help I can get on optimizing my site. One of the problems I have is that my products are so unique that most poeple don't know they exists - so that makes me unsure of what key words to use.

I'd be interested in what everyone else is talking about. We've recently created a new vacation rental site and since it seems that there are at least a hundred other vacation rental sites, I'm interested in how one stands out from the rest! Please forward me the info! Thanks.

Alan, your Arginine site, it has potential as do all the sites I review - but this one is more difficult because of the keyword choices, so once you have read it please post back.

Default Your report is an eye-opener

ctabuk,

Very impressive software and immensely quick, so can I say from everyone who has received a report from you - thank you.

Yes, I see what you mean about the search term 'arginine', coz who the heck has heard of that! So I must consider optimising for much better known search terms and I think I must concentrate on well-known and common names for diseases.

I had already considered moving the javascript and the css to other files and linking back to them but I was feeling a bit lazy. Serves me right I guess. I didn't realise how important such elements were to Google.

I shall start following you advice right now and I'll post back when I'm done.

Cheers

Hi ctabuk,
Ive finally PM'd you sorry for the wait but ive been busy. I know that you have done a load for us already but is there any chance you could pick one of our sites and post a kind of step-by-step guide as to what you did when evaluating. Like what tools used, what found and your suggestions. Just so that we know what to do ourselfs for future work.

Thanks, Chris.

email: Lani@lasvegasgolfadventures.com

I've recieved your report, thank you! Another question. Today on Google I have disappeared again. I'm wondering if my placement for keywords is due to a "fresh crawl". I have also changed my title about 4 times and have seen my site at the top for a weekend and then back I go again. I am becoming frustrated. Maybe I'm doing too much too soon? Do you think my site will stabilize at some point?

Again, many thanks for your help!
Cathy

Hi,

I came across this thread very late. Indeed this is a nice thread and very much helpful. We have launched an online magazine on July 2005 in USA. It will be helpful if you review my site www.modernsage.com too.

The Site is using CMS based on smarty template engine. We have plan to convert this site into .net too. Your suggestions will be valuable for us.

Best regards

Wow. I have some work to do.It is amazing that I was on page one for all of those years. Should I make all of the recommended changes at once or do it slowly as to not trigger a penalty? Very good information indeed. Thank you.

As you are making only fundamental changes then I would suggest that you do it over the course of say a week, that way your are adding Content and that as they say is God.

Default A wonderful offer

I would like to take you up on your wonderful offer. The site I'm working on right now is www.AmishGourds.com . I have great rankings in MSN and Yahoo, but lousy with Google. Can you help? I want to be in the top three listings for "Dried Gourds" and "Gourd Bird Houses"

Also, I'm considering buying some Web Analytics software. Does anyone like WebCEO? or is there a better one out there?

I have to say that I have done some unusual reports so far, but I know how the Amish have their very own religion and this is not in any way disrespectful, far from it. But I kept having 'Life of Brian' going on in my head -'Two shekles for this Gourd - it's worth five'- Report done, please PM me your e-mail address and I'll gladly send it over. Great results BTW.

Everything it's more clear in my mind with this report, thank you so much again.
I was thinking at keywords, can I use the same steps if I will try to make a two words keyword, for example "hardanger embroideries" or just try to make the best position for every word?

Thanks, Think 'Page Title' - Think not about what you want the pages to look like, think about the search term that a potential buyer would use.

You are too kind, sir! I've published my site about 2 months ago, tweaking til I'm blue in the face and know that there is always room for improvement. If you could take a look www.firewaterwind.com
I've made recommended changes for Yahoo on 11/01/05. No change in serps yet. Any idea about how long before I will see changes?

Yahoo is a mystery. Since they don't show a cached date, it's anyone's guess. I'd check MSN myself. See if those changes made any improvements over there, then wait a few weeks to months for Yahoo to show a new index.

Brian.

Okay... So Yahoo serps are on hold (thanks brian). Assuming that this thread is for marketing purposes/results given the most generous reports on optimizing, I assume that I should report changes as seen. It's been a couple of weeks. Has anyone seen any changes?
