First of all thank you. Being fairly new at this I have found this forum invaluable and really apreciate all the knowledge you have passed along. What you described sounds exactly like me and my sites. They are moving up in the rankings, getting pretty good traffic, however not many conversions. Would really appreciate any advice from an expert.

My two sites are Varicose Veins Treatment Center - Compression Stockings with primary keyword "compression stockings" and Medical Scrubs, Nursing Uniforms, Lab Coats, Accessories from MedicalScrubsRus with primary keyword "medical scrubs".

Wow, what a service. After seeing the amount of requests I feel ashamed to ask you to review our site as well. However any advice will be much appreciated. We are a web design company in UK and maintain two other websites in addition to our main company website.

One of the websites is a blog offering advice to businesses on web design, Search engine marketing and E-commerce. The blog is a part of our main website on the same domain so any new content we add here is hopefully treated as new content on our main website.

The third and final website is Estate agent website that offers information specifically for estate agent small or large in UK. Although our website is only a year old we do an awful lot of search engine optimisation work as a part of our ongoing strategy. Our ranking however has stagnated after only about 700 visits per month. We seem to be doing everything by the book but fail to understand how we can achieve our modest aim of 10,000 visitors per month.

Please advice or share your experiences?

Afterwe find say the top 1 competitors for our keyword, what should we really be looking at? Of course one option is to try an negotiate a link back with these websites. But this can be tedious and often the leaders for our keywords may not oblige as there is less value for them to link to use than vise versa. Should we also try and find out which other websites link to the main competitors for the keywords we are targeting and try to get link backs form them as well?

Yes, but to sits that you have been involved in, that works if the anchor text is the same.

You need to get that sorted first as SE's hate Broken Links

Doing travel websites is a bit of a nightmare as no doubt you are aware there are zillions of destinations. Technically therefore each country needs a page and that page needs linking. Pretty much the way the home page is. Fix the link and PM me. Cheers David

hi there, enjoyed ready some of the posts. New to the site, new to this type of thing PERIOD. Just purchased a blog site, Web Mumble, and am trying to get it off the ground. Will add some affiliate stuff this week, extra $ is really the reason for the site; only one affilate link on there right now that I added a few days ago. Reading lots of stuff and trying to get a hold on this marketing stuff.

I have begun to post at digg, stumble and others and am trying to understand what to do to help get people to the affiliate links. When I post at these social sites do I understand that I should link words within my article to my site, Web Mumble? Trying to understand the ping thing so am also reading that and the trackback info.

Can you check my site and tell me whatever? I did like you menioned and ran the site report card. Think it looked ok.

Where or who are these directories I need to list with? Or is that correct?

Joe, if you're getting paid to do the SEO then you've done it ok 10th on Google for conservatory blinds. but change those longtailed codes to html and link more pages.

You need tons more content, you also need to start a links campaign - not just the homepage but every single page. Create a page based on past cases and how you have helped people find jobs. Run the site by SiteReportCard: Web Site Optimization and Promotion Tools and you will instantly see where you need to start.

Before doing anything else, you need to get the site's loading time sorted out. It's pretty bad. Could be the pics server if you have outsourced them (photobucket). One the download time is fixed PM me. Cheers david

I've been spending some time here this morning and wondering why this forum has the posts listed as the first date of posting. It's more interesting to read the most recent posts first. Why don't they do that here?
