Default Who Does Black Hat SEO?

Does anybody on this forum participate or do Black Hat SEO? If so, I would like to know how you guys practice it. I just wonder how a company gets money off of this, since of course I do White Hat SEO, it would be nice to know a little bit about the dark side of it all :)

You're not gonna get a straight answer on this one. Too many people practice it and either won't admit it or don't know it.

Do a Google for Black Hat SEO, it returns plenty of info....

In a nutshell it's promoting your site by doing things that the search engines say not to do.

A couple examples...keyword stuffing and hidden links.

Yep, I've done plenty of searches, woohoo.

Hidden links though, I'm not too sure about, Google is pretty good about finding and getting those sites out of the way. I have a client that has never been indexed or cached because of their hidden links. So, I'm not too sure.

Black Hat SEO is a growing problem that is here to stay. Too many think it's the only way to the top.

Yes, that may be so. But I would think that you would have to pay more money to get that PR 8 or 9 site, don't ya think?

Who knows how it works. I guess the best why to find out is to try try and make a friend in the business :) Hmmmmmm... :)

If the company you had posted in your signature last week is the one you work for, I can't figure out why you would even be interested in this? That company makes a good product - why mess with blackhat and possibly screw up your busiess?

Count me in. I'd like to suck the living blood out of the BlackHat SEO techniques.

Infact count me in for spamming, virus marketing, spyware, adware as well.

You know how to contact me.

There is always that gray zone, and that is often where you will find people making a lot of money. Often we can take a look at some of the tactics being used, and then tone them down a bit in scale or method. For example, they used to say that interlinking too many domains would get you banned, but take a look at the Slashdot family of sites. There is always that gray zone.

Yes, I do work for StoreFront, but I do not want to join the Black Hats, lol. All I want to do is learn some of their techniques so I know what they are doing so I know not to do that certain technique in my SEO services. I want to be all White Hat, no black or grey. This way, if I learn about their techniques, I can learn to better stay away from them. Yes, it does sound fishy, but that's just the way I am.. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer!

DJ-Sound: that's just not possible. You're making the assumption that those who practice black hat will stop at a certain point. From what we've seen, they won't, won't, won't, won't, won't, won't, won't
....won't, won't, won't, ...
....won't, won't, won't, ...
....won't, won't, won't, ...
....won't, won't, won't, ...
....won't, won't, won't, ...
....won't, won't, won't, ...
won't stop at any level and will always be looking for ways to get top ranking for their keywords.

(By the way, this board needs a hack for it so I can practice more Black Hat SEO. Although perhaps the best reason not to practice Black Hat SEO is that the output looks as disgusting as this very post.

Not too sure of what. By the very definition of being a blackhat SEO you are doing things the search engine tell you not to do. Hidden links would be one of those things. Google is good at sniffing it out because it is an easy technique for the spiders to sniff out. Keyword stuffing and other techniques are much harder for the spiders to analyze, this is why it takes longer for site to get caught, someone actually has to look at it.
