I also got them working for some of my sites.

Yahoo Groups can work similar to safelists,
but you can find many for any different topic,
not only online business and internet marketing.

Sure it can require time to find a good number
of groups that match your niche and have a decent
number of subscribers.

Good thing is that they are free to join.

About the mailer you refer to, I took some time
to check out the groups they use and there are
many that have only a few registered users.
I think that less than 20% have more than 1000
users.

Default Please tell me more...

Hello,

can you point me to an example please (URL), where I can see in more detail what you mean and how you are working with yahoo groups?

Thanks in advance...

Markus

Hi Markus,

were you asking me? or Tom?

It is not clear to me what you would like to know
exactly.

If you want an example you can see the first site
in my signature, MyLinkExchange.com.

I am posting to yahoo groups related to business
opportunities and online marketing that there is
a special offer with free sign up for the first
500 and I got some new users from those postings.

Another example is a rating site, Miss10.com.
I never spent a cent to advertise it and I have
about 3800 registered users (free) that mainly
came from yahoo groups.
Of course I did not post this site to online
marketing groups, I did it in groups related to
models, datings, etc.

Default directory of yahoo groups

Is there a directory of yahoo groups that one can join? For example, I would like to fine one about weddings.

Cheers,
Andrew
