Default dvdtvshows.com seeks email creative advice on subject line

We are getting ready to start sending out a 'new releases' newsletter to our customers. It's something we promised a long time ago and are just now implementing. I'm thinking of a subject line:
dvdTVshows.com New Releases List for May 2005
But do I now need to say:
dvdTVshows.com adv New Releases List for May 2005
And does anyone have any suggestions for a more effective subject line?

Default I don't think you need ADV

It is my understanding that sending Email to current customers is NOT considered unsolicited Email. Therefore you do not need to include ADV in the subject line.

A quick glance at pages like this, http://www.the-dma.org/antispam/statespamlaws.shtml seems to support that.

This article might be helpful.

Default Thanks MaineWeb

Thanks for the great references. They really helped.
I looked at your site.
You carry a nice varity of product.
The layout is very sparse and very very, um.. white.
Was there a reason that none of the buttons or any of the page sections have anything but white backgrounds?
It's easy to use and seems easy to order.

One minor point, I almost missed the Better Business Seal, which I know is expensive. There should be some way to emphasize it more.

Thanks Again.
Best Wishes,

Default thanks

Glad I could help some and thanks for your comments on my site. The buttons at the top have the blue background, but I'm going to try adding the same background to the navigation down the left-hand side of the page and see how that looks, it might balance out the page. I would like to add a little more color to the site. Maybe I'll look for a photo to use in addition to the phone (maybe a photo of people). I want people to know right away what we do, but it is a little bland at the moment.

Maybe I'll put the BBB seal in the same column as the navigation. Thanks for the suggestions.
