Default making emailed newsletters more professional & easier to

Over the past couple of years we've been successfully using OE as our "email campaign manager." Basically simple messages with some graphics and links to our website, www.parpools.com highlighting new products, services & specials.

Now that our list has grown to over 1,500 opted-in recipients, it's becoming a little unmanageable. Many of our new customers are actually asking to be put on a mailing list! The forum article from last week providing details of either "blocked" or unsendable email describes some of our predicament and was relatively helpful, but I'm looking for a little more information & advice.

Here's my bottom line question: is there software out there they anyone can recommend that would a) prevent server "blocking" because of volume; b) personalize the message (put the recipient's real name at the top of the message); c) provide a "slicker" or cleaner look rather than a look that it was created using OE; d) manage the email list & have the ability to "customize" mailings to various categories of clients as well as "keeping it clean"; e) is simple to use.

We like sending out 1 or 2 letters monthly so as to not fill their in boxes. I'm looking forward to your responses.

Default Constant Contact

We like Constant Contact. It may not take care of all your issues with messages being blocked, but their templates are nice-looking and easy to customize. It will include the recipient's real name. You can have as many mailing lists as you want, and can assign several to one mailing. It is easy for people to opt-out if they want. I appreciate the safegaurd that makes it so that you cannot accidently add the opt-outs back in at a later date or on a different mailing list.

Default Re: Constant Contact

We've been using and setting up our clients with this system, quite sucessfully for quite some time now. The things we and our clients like most is the ability to obtain the reports in real time showing the actual activity of opens, click throughs, bounces, etc. Also a key is that the service fees are based on client lists data base size rather than how many emails that are sent. We also maintain the service and distribution of newsletters, mailings for our clients that are a little less savy or just don't have the time to deal with it.
