Free PRWeb Press releases in MSN the next day

If you send out a press release through PRWeb you have two options: Send it out free or make a contribution and have a wider distribution. The previous time I used them, I paid $80 for the wider distribution, but this time I decided to just use the free option.

Now, when PRWeb asks you if you would like to pay, they say that by making a contribution and being injected directly into some major news feeds will mean that you don't have to wait out the 4-6 week crawl cycle to have it indexed.

Well that is not true now thanks to MSN: I sent out a free release on Wednesday and by the next day it was in the MSN index.

So even a free PRWeb press release can be worth it and is an excellent way of bringing your new site to the attention of the search engines in general and MSN in particular.

Thanks for the heads up on MSN.

We've found that PRWeb is a great way to announce the launch of a new web site and it seems to help get the site crawled a little sooner. With the additional crawl of MSN (and so quickly), that's another bonus!
