Default wordtracker VS. keyworddiscovery.com

I have had excellent results when using Wordtracker over the past 4 years, always getting to the #1 position when needed, if not... the 2nd position in google for 99% of my terms I target.

Now, I've read a little about keyworddiscovery.com... Does anyone have feedback? Good or bad experiences? I'm very interested to know how it compares to Wordtracker.com.

Have a great weekend and see ya in NY at the SES conference!

keyworddiscovery claims that it uses 37 search engines to help determine the words searched, but I was unable to find a listing of those search engines.

Does anyone have that list?

Hi, Search 'Free Keyword Generators'on big G I think you are in for a pleasant surprise, but if you don't find a site with dozens of decent phrases, pm me with your keyword and which SE you are targetting and I'll see what I can come up with.

Thank goodness for edit, try this www.goodkeywords.com it's free

I personally use wordtracker with good results. It is a "must" by advertising with Google AdWords.

I don't want to be too negative...but after thousands of research i've found very often major differences between expected figures and reality (talking about wordtracker and overture). For more accuracy you'd better use more than one keyword tool for your SEO.

YES, for sure... it is always better to do your KW "mining" in more than one spot. Wordtracker has been very easy and good to use for us over the last few years, giving us tons of insight on what is being searched for.

With Wordtracker we are able to pinpoint the weaknesses and attack :) We also use "related searches" on the various SEs that support it.

A good variety of sources for KW mining is recommended.

Have a great weekend!

wordtracker basically tell how popular a term / word is right and how many competitors there is, but is does not actually help optimize for these words, right?

Is it not possible just to do a search on Google or wherever for the term, check the results (num of competitors) and then use the overture tool to gauge popularity?
