Banner advertising -tips and thoughts please

Hi.

Anyone have any ideas or thoughts on small adverts and banner advertising.
I've only a personal website for techies and family but I've managed to do something right I guess and hits are rocketing 10-20% a month. All very nice and all but in the next few months I'm going to overload my bandwidth allowance.

Any ideas on what level I should start thinking about ads (it's currently 500-600 unique hits a day.)

Also what rates and such to look for.

Nice site. Huge PR Ranking. Very informative. If I was you, I'd try to put on Google Ad Sense Ads so you can get paid for some of your traffic. 600 people a day is a lot of traffic. What are they all looking for?
