I learned (from a suggestion by a Webproworld poster) that I could attract traffic by adding a forum to my website. Apparently, people like forums, because they're some of the most popular pages on the site and I sprinkle in links back to site pages that are not as popular.

Blogs and RSS feeds can take less time and may net better results. Don't forget about Press Releases and Article Submissions for syndication though, first!

To be honest, I get a fair number of readers, but only one or two posters. The site is a primer for setting up a website, so I just take the email questions I get and post them and the answers into the forum

I'd reallly appreciate it if you guys could post something. I'm sure the readers of this forum have lots of value to say. It's also a good place to post links to your website without needing to add a reciprocal.

It 's difficult to draw the right core constituancy. They are usually time constrained professionals in high demand as moderators in other forums and have a great deal of client demand.

Everyone wants to percieve value and every new forum is just "flatlined" at first. It takes real commitment from a group of experts that percieve value.
