Help. My employer is someone that hates to read, thinks that most people don't read, and search and buy just the same way that she does. Any marketing Geniouses out there that can lend a hand?

I would advise you to use test all variations. There is simply no one (experts included) who don't their creative repeatedly to get the best mix.

I also suggest testing the 4 claims. You can then see which one of the 4 has the most click-throughs and actual conversion rate with an ad tracker like www.adtrackz.com, www.ad-track.com, or www.proanalyzer.com.

I'd agree with ACMilan's choice.
Why?
Because it follows the known and time tested AIDA formula for effective and successful marketing:
Attention: You have a problem (smeared coffee mug)
Interest: We have the answer (name of product)
Desire: All the benefits you'll derive (100% Guaranteed Smearproof)
Action: Buy it! (presumably per a clickable link)
Admittedly, you have to visualize the ad and its graphics but, done right, your boss could also be right: Tell it to them in pictures (as long as they're the right ones).
