You better change those colors around.
You need to first of all have a clean background and the text should be easy to read, try having a table in the center, and make the background of the table "white" then have the text xolor as "black" font "verdana".
The background color outside the table should be dark!
When it comes to making money stop promoting stuff that you have resell rights to and just write your own stuff, perhaps you have a hobby?
Promotion isn't that hard you cay for it, but if you want to do it like me do it free by simply trading links with 50+ similar sites.
to find these potential link partners go to
www.linkpartners.com or just do a search for a keyword related to your site on google.com, a example would be to search for "ebooks" then email 50 websites and tell them you have linked to them and want them to link back to you!
But before you can trade links you need to have a links page, so just create a clean links page and name it "resources.htm" or something similar, and link to this links page from the top of your main index page. Heres what a links page looks like :

Remember unless your site looks clean and easy on the eyes no one will trade links with you.
PS. You should have bought a domain with "keywords" in it like "ebooks-electronic-software.com" keywords in the domain name are important if you want to rank high on the search engines.
