Think you're in the wrong forum here!

GET LINKS, GET LINKS AND GET LINKS.

When you think you have enough links - go out and get some more.

I would not worry about pr but if you want a higher pr you do need more links.

Links are the only thing that will increase your pr.

The new PR5 does not mean anything. As a Google rep put it, PageRank is just one factor out of a hundred used in ranking. PR does not mean as much as it once did.

You can get a PR5 simply by having one single PR6 site link to you, and it will not rocket your site to the top of the SERPs. Good content, good coding techniques and a range of quality links from other sites in your industry will have the most positive effect on rankings.

It looks like you understand.

A focus on obtaining quality links is good. A focus on PR is a waste of time and energy. PR is just one of many factors, and it is not one of the most important factors.

This single piece of info is extremely useful

Everyone advertises there site by pr rating (link with pr etc)

And it mean nothing lol.

As a SE do quality links mean links with other SE?

Default Content and Code will Help Too!

I didn't see anyone mention it, so I will:

Content (updated and relevant) and correct code may help too!

Your code is missing an ENCODING which will help bots crawl your site.

Your keywords are excessive and not all relevant to the content on your page.

Your bottom gif is blank and not linked.

I couldn't find a robots.txt file.

Keeping your site clean, updated, relevant and engine friendly will do you well in trying to improve your PR IMO.

Finally, do some research from the "horse's mouth" so to speak and see what Google wants from you; seeking the power of your peers is wise, but don't alway bank on it - we're not Google.

Google Webmaster Guidelines is a great starting point to figure out what you can do to be more Google likeable.

Your site looks sharp and seems to have great potential. Focus on your site, content, code, etc. and the rest will come ... worrying solely about PR and links will deter from your real goal - Be the Best Site for Your Genre!

Finally, if you're building the absolutely best site for your niche, links will come naturally, albeit slowly sometimes, and those are the best - free, unsolicited and one-way!

~ Good Luck and Happy Ranking ~

I wane between a few, not fully realizing honestly the difference between them all.

Try using

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

or

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">

After you've placed this in your <head>, run your site through W3C and take a look at some other code tweaks you'll need to make.

Happy Ranking!
