How do I increase the forum members?

I have a problem with my forum promotions.

Does anyone know how to increase visitors to register to your forum and get them post on it???

I almost tried everything but nothing gain.

Have you tried a monthly drawing/giveaway for members, then submit this to all of the "free offer" resource sites? You can obtain various scripts for this at:

cpw, do you have any suggestions as to which scripts in particular? I'm just about to launch a site that relies pretty heavily on forums and blogs, so I could use any hints I can get as well!

Set it up so that by refering friends to your site one gets placed in the monthly prize drawing. The more friends referred the higher one's chances of winning are.

Then announce the winner on website once a month. Be sure to submit you prize drawing webpage URL to all free prize resource sites.
