SalesForce or SalesNet or Neither?

Which is best SalesForce, SalesNet, another online sales tool or none of the above? Is there an online sales tool that works better? Do offline tools have advantages over the ASP model?

How many salespeople do you have today?
How many do you expect to have 1 year, 2 years from now?
Is your salesforce in "one room" or "spread across the world"?
What is your cashflow today? Do you have the money for an upfront capital expense?

If you are talking internet based business!

Your best sales force is made up of affiliates, a sales force that is performance based. They perform they get paid, lets face it in today's economy salaried sales is out, additionally with affiliate based sales force you are accomplishing 2 things.
1. The keywords and links for your site.
2. No workers comp., unemployment and so on and so forth.

There are many web-based crm vendors other than salesforce and salesnet that have a great product. Salesboom.com for instance offers more features for much less price.
