I was wondering if someone could help me. What does everyone think is the best way to find advertising for your site is? What are some of the ways people find and approach potential advertisers?(especially local advertising)
I am interested to hear what everyone thinks! |

The very first things you need to do (in order) are:
1 - Get lots of high-quality inbound links with your target phrase "Milwaukee Apartments" or something similar in the anchor text. 2 - Wait for some green (the more the better) to show up in the PageRank display on the Google Toolbar. When people are considering buying advertising from you they'll expect a decent ROI. With a PR0 they'll be very reluctant to take a chance on your site, regardless of the actual traffic level. 3 - After you see some green on the toolbar, you can think about advertising yourself. Overture and Google AdWords can be very effective, as well as text links on other related websites.
