What are Spam Points?

We are trying to launch an e-mail campaign and when we try sending a test mail, the incredimail automatically filters it ito Junk and calls it SPAM.

There is a tool installed on the system (Don't have the details now) that keeps giving SPAM points .... Say if you have newsletter / date in the subject line, you get a bonus and when your html is more when compared to the text, you get penalty points.

Anyone knows more about these spam points?

SpamAssasin works on a "points-to-spam" ratio as well.
