Default Buying traffic vs. earning $$

Is it possible to buy traffic and just aim it at a website where you earn $ for each visitor you get to download a program (toolbar). is there a catch in it somewhere??
thanks

Well, buying traffic is usually not a great idea.
There are plenty of scams around. Even the ones that are legit, may not provide the targetted visitors you're looking for

Default Hmmm

Well, you can certainly buy traffic through Google AdWords and direct traffic to, or aim traffic at, a website where you can earn an affiliate commission by inviting visitors to download a toolbar.

Is there a catch in it? Hmmm. Do you mean is there a catch in buying traffic? Or do you mean is there a catch in asking someone to download a toolbar? Or do you mean is there a risk in signing up for, and participating in, this type of affiliate program?

I would say this: when you "buy traffic" there is always the risk of losing money.

And when you download a toolbar there is always the risk that some stranger will be monitoring your every move on the net.

If the affiliate program is free to join, then I don't see a problem participating in the program.

I hope this helps.

I was thinking more along the lines of putting a PPC link code in the "onload" function.
