"look" change
corporations generally don't change their "look" so much as they change the approach to marketing first and then follow with a new much modern logo, slogan and campaign. Take Coke for instance, nothing has really changed right? Wrong - every new product has the quintessential coke type face but the product has its own niche market. Like Vanilla coke - who really drinks this product.... the teens... and hip yuppies... who knows but that is just where their marketing research brought them. Let's take IBM again no change just some new modern twist. I own the company you see below. When we formed it back in dec 2002 we did alot of research - just so we didn't have to change anything and yet live up to the next 10years of marketing evolution. The problem with health and safety is that we don't tend to market...as much as other industries. But we do. Its just more subtle. When you get to a level ( I am not trying to be you know ego here just fact) and have physicians for friends ( real I'll help you move people) then your outlook and expectations change. Corporations tend not to change because of the psychology behind the marketing already made public. If anyone wants to challenge this - bring it on...I would love to see some Kaplan or Kotler quoted even....by the way nice hair...
