I think I've exhausted most (if not all) of the major free directories, so I'm looking more toward permanent paid placement with directories that can give my site a real boost.

My own preference is for directories that have a one-time fee (like Looksmart used to in Canada) and that have some influence over the engines.

Any thoughts on some good ones that will generate some decent ROI?
