Default where do we advertise?

Hey evryone!

I'm Jenny and I work at a software development company. We're now considering different on-line advertising opportunities. So my question is: what are the best resources to place an ad so that it reached small business owners?

Thanx!

I would say Overture and Google, depending on the type of product and who you want target, I would have to know more to point you in the right direction.

I prefer to use Google.

I try to use Overture before. But the page load is very slow and i have no patience to wait.

And don't use Bidclix. It does not help your network.

Do you ship your software? If so, you may want to consider this..

I now carry inhouse inventory (I used to drop ship), and when I ship, I send out receipts, business cards, and a pen. It depends on what industry you are in whether or not it's profitable. But even with a pen, it helps get your name out there.

Also, when I bought memory from 1-800-memory (I think that was the name), I always remembered it because of the pen, and I actually placed two other expensive orders for laptop RAM

Default about google as a choice

I'm one of those smaller companies and I tried Google. After reading the topics under google and from seeing first hand what it did for me I quit. I did get double the visits but not valid ones, they came to the first page then left. If you have the time and inclination to really work out the proper keywords / neg keywords and conversion tracking then maybe you'll have better luck? But I really didn't see the return on investment. Just my opinion.

And also, try Google! And maybe Yahoo too.
