Hi from Oz
I was wondering how many people ran their own on demand Internet radio programs. Maybe you would like to but do no know how. What is on demand internet radio? It is an audio delivery that is formatted like a radio program with music, interviews, adds etc. It is then delivered on demand rather than a live stream so people can listen to the show when ever they wat. Ususally about 15 minutes to half an hour long. Interested in your comments. Quentin |

This format is available in so many places such as WAP phones, where you can request, say a 2-3 minute match report after a football match.
I have also heard of this being adopted on the internet with the addition of visual media. I would imagine you would need a high level of bandwidth to take on such a project yourself if you chose to update regularly. Although, I couldn't see many people interested in this outside of professionals seeking to get into Radio. Who knows? |

I own a streaming internet radio station http://www.goodpoliticsradio.com and we are considering going from streaming to on-demand.
Our current streaming provider is www.live365.com and we have been up since September 03. We are currently listened to in over 40 countries and received the 2004 Political Station of the Year. We think we may increase our listenership and the amount of time they listen if we do it on demand. Do you have any tips for us? |
