Default Greeting cards - how do I set my site apart from 4,000,000?

I could really use some advice on how to set my website apart from 4 million others. This is my first website and we are selling our own greeting cards and photographic prints. Is there something I can do to set us apart? http://www.mystorycard.com

Thank you
Highhope

janeth is quite right

also add to the list something 'sticky' - such as an online card creator or similar - a reason for people to come back to your site and tell their friends, or a nice game that kids can play, but have to be using your site to do so

if you keep them coming back, it will stick in the users mind, so the next time they want a greeting card, they wont do a search, they will say "I'll use that nice card site that has that card creator on it" or similar

Default Establish a USP

Hi,
The best thing I can recommend to you when selling something in a mass market, is this:

Establish a USP. (Unique Selling Point)

Set yourself apart. Do something different.

Why are your greeting cards better than everyone elses? Are they cheaper? Better quality?

Once you have established your own USP you should state it in the title/header of your website. This will tell the customer why they should buy from you.

Where do you advertise? I would recommend PPC and related E-zines.

Perhaps you should move into a more niche market first, then move into a mass market.

For example, you could specialise in birthday cards or marriage cards for example.

You will also want to get some good search engine optimisation going.
