Default Link Farm

What actually counts as a link farm?

I am always hearing certain numbers of links but it varies. Does quality of links outweigh the quanity of links? There are many sites that deserve to be linked to, and these sites can be valuable to your visitors. Let me know if anyone has any opinions on this. thanks

I'm looking for the same answer. I heard to never have more than 50 links on a page. I'm personally not putting more than 30 on a page. This seems like a lot too, so I posted a message in the Search Engine forum for other people's thoughts.

Are you breaking them down into categories? If not, this will help and will keep your information organized. I can't find any information on this in Google's guidelines. Good luck.

If the page has good content its not really about the number of links, but who you are linking to. If a site that you are linking to gets banned, google may also penalize your site. From what I've seen they usually dont ban sites for one link, but just be carefull who you link to. Also if you auto link building, or no human required to add a link, I'd be carefull.
