How to get fast visits...?

Hi all...

This may seem like a stupid question... I know it takes awhile to get recognized by the search engines but I have a debacle with that... My good friend Johnny McCarthy fell into the field, at the May 6th Mets game, trying to catch a foul ball. When he landed (and broke his shoulder) he pulled a sign out and ran around with it... to make a long story short, He is the first American to be arrested for breaking the "Calvin Klein Law" So my partner and I threw this together this weekend FreeJohnny my t-shirt company which also just launched is producing a free johnny tee that hopefully Howard Stern is going to be wearing tomorrow on air;) So my question is this... how do you drive tons of traffic to the site before Johnny's 15 min of fame are over?
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!

If your topic is really interesting, you can contact leading sites that offer news, articles, etc.
Perhaps they would want to make a short story about this, this will surely bring a lot of traffic.

If you do manage to get on the Howard Stern show and he mentions your website once or twice, you'll have more traffic than you know what to do with.

After that, write press releases and send them to most of the major papers and magazines. Just make sure you follow the rules for press releases.
