really have you people nothing better to do than slag off other sites its not a scam its a pr6 website which was bought with PR6, google has not yet updated its servers yet if i was scamming i would be selling links not giving them away, christ its a free directory what more do you want free is free or did i miss something here

You are talking a load of rubbish. The PR6 is coming from Carbon Catalog - Carbon Offset Directory ... it has nothing to do with Google not updating its servers. Anyone can check the cache to see your scam.

of course its still pointing there i bought an expired domain name and google has not updated it yet , its not a scam its the way things are not alot i can do about it , as it says on the tin that site is PR6 its a link directory where you can add links for free with a reprocal link back

Your pr6 sale is vapid and empty because you do not have that pr6, a site a few months ago had it. Once google finds your site those pages will get 0 rank like any new page. Google will then see the other pages gone and take them out - they have the rank.

What you can do is offer your pr6 up front because if you can get people on now with enough reciprocals you might be seen as important come ranking time. But my experience is that you will go to 0 or 1 for a while until you get some returns on the search showing you are valid for any term. Truth in lending sort of, tell them it is 6, tell them why, tell them to get on now and they have a chance to keep it there. Small, but there.

This is what gives google an excuse to not like directories and not like links much at all. You are pushing a directory on page rank and not service. Your importance will be judged on the service you provide your niche, if you found one. I think a case can't be made for a link directory without a direction. What reason to exist? If you have no legitimate answer then you have to create something that will answer to it. Make it good, people will come, so will rank.
