Visit here: Website Promotion Tutorial, SEO Tool and Directory List. There are 1023 free directories you can submit to. Or you can try our cheap manual directory submission service.

After submitting to directories, you don't need to submit to search engines.

Hi,
there are many free web directory in the web.first try to be listed in dmoz(free open directory), yahoo directory(paid dir $299). then you find out free diectory. goto submit ulr or submit link option in that directory. go through the rule they want to maintain. then fill up the submit report form and submit it.

hi,

you can search for free directories on google and you can submit your title, Description and Keywords on that directories. Usually the free directories take some time to approve your site and after that your site will be listed on their directory.

Always try to exchange links with websites having Google PR (PageRank) of 4 or more. Here, the PR 4 criteria is applicable for both index page as well as the links page of a website.

You can also go to Google and simply type in the phrase 'free directory + submit url' you will come up with about 5,000,000 possible candidates for your submission. Generally the top ranked sites are the most favourable as far as Google is concerned (highest PR etc).

I don't know about you, but if you would like to list your website to lots of directories I would recommend to use one of the auto submitter tools.

I use one of them and it did the trick for me.
