Default Manage Links - Auto "Crawl" to identify Potential

Hi,
I have seen some "link management" software out there that allows you to manage your link partners and send emails, etc.

BUT, is there a FREE software that will assist in identifying NEW link partners for you area of interest/business?

I built my own management tool with Perl but it would be time consuming to enhance it to do this. So I am wondering if something like that is available already (PHP would be fine as well). Just haven't seen anything that will do this automated crawl to IDENTIFY POTENTIAL partners.

I would also be interested if anyone could recommend the TOP products FOR PURCHASE. If it saves me the TIME I think it will, it might be worth it - again, something that can basically spider (in my case, educational poker) sites looking for similar websites.

Thanks in advance.
Hope I posted in the correct forum.
Greg

Greg - I used a service called WebCEO to allow me to do that. There are some sites, based on keywords, that it will tell you to contact, and allow you to do so. The limitation, at least on the free version, is that the e-mail it sends is a form letter, asking the webmaster at the other site to link back... The software will search for all e-mail addresses at a particular site, and send a message to all those e-mails. Can be good, might not be either - especially when sending a message to legal@abccompany.com!

Good luck,
JG
