Lately we've been setting up a variety of informational sites to serve as feeders for our products. So far we've set up 5 separate sites with 10-30 pages of optimized content each.
On two of these sites, we used the Managed Links text links service. So far, the sites without Managed Links are getting about 50 visitors/day. The sites with Managed Links are getting about 10 per day -- despite the fact that they're each showing about 1600 back links in Yahoo. Here are my concerns: 1. A new domain suddenly getting 1600+ links surely gets sandboxed as well as penalized in ranking. 2. Managed Links does not provide static links -- rather, they're dynamic, spread across the entire member network. Further penalties for non-static links and lack of link age? 3. Should Managed Links only be added to an existing domain that has a history of older, static links? 4. Should Managed Links be used at all? I'm eager to hear from others who have +/- experiences with Managed Links (www.managedlinks.com). Thanks, George |

Sensible in the long term particularly to avoid all automated linksoftware, simple as that.
