Rockweb:
I see your UN in the "waiting members" area - you may want to confirm email address or try an alternate. I will do a "resend" for the email and see if it goes through; let me know please.

RockWeb - hope all is going well. Links are there and active; thanks for the linkbacks!
BTW - a few may have ended up in different categories/sub-categories - check at your convenience and let me know ... kids start back to school tomorrow so I'll be doing a bit of clean up on the site if I need to modify for you. Also, you have the notes I sent you about one of your other sites? Start to apply them at your convenience to your webdesign site too. Don't be afraid to take your lumps by submitting it for review here or at DC Forum - or both.

seanh - I'll be reviewing submissions later this morning for inclusion.
I hope you saw the previous posts in this thread - as the links are now in excess of 200 I have "tightened" the rules a bit. I am still giving all WPW and DC members one free, one-way link to their site provided that meet basic criteria (no porn, gambling, Rx, duplicate sites - you know the drill). However, for subsequent commercial links, a link back must be verified before the links will be approved. This does not count for reference and charity sites provided they are not running ads. ALSO - did you create a profile and signature that has your website listed? This is a big plus as Heres1.com is getting hammered by bots and many memebers are seeing linkbacks listed to their site within days. Posting an article or thread helps too if your profile and signature block are "g2g". Good Luck and Happy Ranking! Rob w®m

Thanks for the opportunity. I added my two sites but got in a bit of trouble in the subsections. 1. Photography and 2. Security - I clicked on the add link and the drop down menu wouldn't display the subsection that I was on when I submitted and only let me submit to the next highest category.
I hope you will understand and thanks again! Keep It Dry Case.com and Safety Enforcement.com |

FIRST link is free, with no recip required, within acceptable guidelines of course. Subsequent links require link backs on subsequent sites, unless otherwise agreed upon first.
Please no: Gambling sites, even if free directories. Rx sites - none, regardless of content. Porn or Adult oriented materials. Single page or under-construction sites. Okay, within guidelines: Non-English, but description must be in English and the first line should indicate site language. MLM/Affiliate if help oriented, but not sites that merely are full of attempts to become the next Internet millionaire with an affiliate link to everything under the sun with no content.

Thanks for the web design link wRm.

The web links at Heres1 is approaching 300; 284 at last count - thanks for the great response everyone.
Recap: Any WPW member is entitled to ONE link without the need for recip. Subsequent links require a link back - more details in previous posts of this thread.

Your first link could not be queried via whois because it is listed "For Sale" through their partner Sedo. Also, I happily give WPW members ONE free link as reference above, but subsequent links require a link back. If you wish to have the first link added also, send me details of the linkback and I'll take another look at coolbell.com. However, this will need a better title than what you've submitted. BTW - http://www.coolbell.com/images/HeaderGallery.gif is not showing on your page.

Added www.datingsas.com
I dont think that a scripted page affects links. As google sees it as a plain html page anyways. It does not see the php code and so on. Since this is processed on the server before it is sent out to the viewer/robot

Very nice directory, easy to move through it. I just posted our PR4 site. http://www.brooksidedental.com If you think about it, it would be useful to have a DENTISTRY or DENTAL HEALTH subcategory. Dentalgil |
|
||||
|
dentalgil - I added your site under U.S./Washington/Bellevue for now. As the directory grows, I will move it to a more specific regional / business category relevant to Health/Dentistry within U.S./Washington/Bellevue/etc...
dburdon - thanks for using a name I could recognize. I'm not sure if you read earlier posts in this thread, but I'm allowing the first link to be added without the need for a recip, but have been requiring backlinks for subsequent links. I'll go ahead and add them as appropriate on "good faith" that you'll give me at least one link back on one of the subsequent sites.

It's not because I was on the ball so to speak, it's just that your timing was perfect - I was already in there deleting and approving links. By the way, neat little niche site - good luck with it.

I just looked at your site, and noticed that the home page has PR3, and nothing is passed down to the links pages (which was the area that I was interested in - this may apply to other pages as well).
Often, I find that if a home page has PR3, then the next level in will have PR2, and the level after that PR1. Not always, but usually. But yours drops to PR0 immediately, I couldn't see any PR2 or PR1 pages. As I said, I didn't look in any great detail. This is usually a sign of the website cheating, and blocking PR to lower pages, so as to avoid PR leakage. What it often means, is that Google (in particular) doesn't even look at the inside pages, so reciprocal linking becomes inbound only, and no outbound links are valid. The first place to investigate is to see if the site has robots.txt, or NOFOLLOW, excluding the robots. On your site, it's OK. The second step is validation of the deepest page which holds PR. In your case, it's your home page, which fails severely. You need to do something with the line "" because I believe that this is blocking the passing of PR to lower pages. I would start by changing or removing the copyright sign. As Google is already checking your site, validating your home page would be of tremendous use to you, because if PR were to cascade into the links pages, people would be running even faster to link to you. (As an afterthough, I read this through before posting, and for the avoidance of any doubt, I do not beleive that you are witholding PR from the links pages for malicious purposes, I just wanted to explain how I got to where I got to) |
