So - I've read all kinds of things on many different sites similar to this one about the IYP industry in general, and the company I work for and our competitors in particular. To my knowledge, nobody from our compnay has tried participating in forums such as these, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I found this site Googling mainstreethost.com for a client who had been approached by them and asking for advice - thanks for all your info on them BTW, lol - and poked around a bit after finding what I needed..

Note that I'm not here to sell anything! If you have a business and you're interested in what we offer, I won't discourage contact (duh...), but I'm here to dispel some bad info and really to answer questions about our site, our products, and especially our industry from the inside. Note that I am a current employee, been here a good while, and am NOT going to be spilling inside info/trade secrets, etc, so don't ask, and I'm unlikely to bash the biz. However, I think there are more than a few misconceptions about what we do and how, and the results you can get, so I'm here, and above all else I will be HONEST. No reason not to be, really, and I've learned that it's easier to be honest than to deal with the fallout from BS'ing people. I know a few former Traffic Power and InetBA employees. They have some horrible stories, lol.

BTW - if anyone on these boards has issues with our company in particular for some reason - it does happen - PLEASE post or PM me! I can take the abuse and I'm VERY interested in helping anyone who needs it (our Customer Care reps can get pretty overworked as we've grown, they haven't hired fast enough over there).

I'm also here to learn. I take my job seriously. I want to help small (and large!) businesses succeed - i.e., make money - online, and the more I learn about "the other side" the better I can help them. And by all means, hit me up with your web design, hosting, and SEO services - I am always looking for solid referalls for my clients for whom our limited PPC and website services are not adequate.

Now either I'll get some responses, or there's no interest at all in what I do for a living, lol. Let the replies tell all...
