The year 2008 has been all about change and I've made some personal choices that have been truly life-altering (all in a good way) but I've been away from WebProWorld far too long and plan to lurk more often.

I am now on my own as a single girl in beautiful northern Michigan. I am a strong, independent woman, I am free to be my true self and I am incredibly happy with my lifestyle choice (I haven't laughed this much in years).

As for my professional life, my business is strong and we're finding great success in the new year. I am more active in the business community than ever and am now serving on the board of directors with the local humane society. I have more confidence when I am in a networking setting alone and I am very much at ease in new situations where I'm talking to new people.

Things can only continue to get better, especially with summer looming...

Have you like been to something traumatic? I mean I think I can smell something else from your post something like beginning anew or something. Being more confident, rising, standing up... well anyways, good for you that everything is ok...

Hey Marcie; change is inevitable. As they say in Atlantic Canada: You're on the right side of the sod...so ain't all that bad.

Sadly, this is often followed by "So, did you walk to work or bring your lunch?" As a British expat, I can't get my head around this but it is funny. Perhaps.
