Default Hello to the group - Classics4sale.com

Hello everyone,

My name is Andrew Gutierrez and I run a few websites on the internet. I started http://www.classics4sale.com back in 1996 but officially set it up as a business in Jan 1997. I am getting ready to redesign the site.

It has the same design as it did in Jan 1997. I want to keep it really simple but I understand most internet users like the flashy graphics. That is where I am stumped. I need some input on what makes your websites more sucessful..

Hi Andrew,

Welcome to WebProWorld! First things first, I would never have guessed that this was a '96 design. The site still holds up today, I like your simple straightforward approach.. the site loads quickly, the logo works really well.. what can I say? it's a classic! :o)

One thing I might be tempted to lose is the marquee script (possibly one effect that dates the site!)... and also try to keep those fonts consistent! Other than that I wouldn't clutter the site with overly 'flashy graphics' - why spoil a winning combination?

Look forward to seeing you around the forums,

Paul
