Default This is my first post

I've been learning Java and J2EE for the last year to develop Web applications but with the quarrel between Microsoft and Sun I believe Java is doomed and I'm now learning Javascript,CGI, Perl, and MySql to develop my Web applications. Javascript is ubiquitous and Microsoft won't be able to meddle with its distribution. CGI and Perl are the most used server side languages and again Microsoft won't be able to meddle with their distribution. MySql is the fastest database on the market and again Microsoft won't be able to meddle with it.

You should also learn PHP while you are at it. It's super easy to learn, and fits very well with web apps, and MySQL. Forget the JAVA (IMHO)
