Newbie Request

I just finished setting up a new website, and would be interested in your critiques.

It's almost 100% finished. I'm not sure if I want to add the classified ads section or the forums section at the present time, and am having a bit of a problem getting the links section to work.

Everything else seems to be okay.

What do you think?

I'd also like to know how I could better promote the site, other than trying to depend on search engine placements, which never seem to work very well for me.

It looks like you've found the "Submit Your Site for Review" area. You should get some good feed back there. I took a quick look and your site looks really good. Loads fast!

You may want to consider redirects for those affiliate links...

I just signed up for the forums last night, and this section is where I ended up when I first logged in. I guess I should have browsed around a bit before posting.

I have read quite a few threads in other sections, and I must say, this is a very informative site. I'm sure I'll learn a lot here.

Anyway, my name really is Davey, I am 52 years old, I live about 30 miles south of Atlanta, Ga.

I am pretty much self-taught at web site design via resource sites such as WDVL, htmlgoodies, and many more that I can't remember.

I decided to stop "building" web sites and start learning how to optimize them for promotional purposes. That's why I am here.

This looks like a great forum.
