Default KGUN What is going on in Norway with IE6

Norwegian Websites Declare War on IE 6 | Epicenter from Wired.com

Is this just these web sites or is there something else going on?

I understand that IE6 is bad news, but are there other issues?

And it only gets worse, who told Microsoft that building a browser was a good idea.
Probably the same guy behind Windows ME and Vista.

I think that post is aimed at me.
  1. First of all, my personal experience is that Microsoft is light years ahead of Google. Now I see more and more ad's for Google's chrome browser, that I have only written my opinion about (an opinion that they may have disliked).
  2. And IE 6.0 is my preferred version of IE, even if I have version 7 on my laptop. I collect links, and IE 6.0 is best for that specific purpos.
  3. But I would, for security reason, not recommended IE 6.0 to an inexperienced surfer or an on line shopper.
I started this Favicon::: Anarchy or evolution? thread just before I noted your post. It is one of many examples of the problems IE 6.0 creates for web masters generally.

Ask DLS: What do you make of IE8's giant incompatibility list? - Download Squad
When you complain to Microsoft employee's here about IE, you get the following answer:

Install another browser.
