Default Opera, FF and IE 8 / 6.

Observations:
  1. When I log into my WPW account using Opera and try to post a new post like this, I am redirected to the login page. That happens again and again. If I "delete private data" I am allowed to post a new post. That is not required in FF and IE 6.0. Another security related aspect of the three browsers?
  2. Microsoft's Newest Browser Allows Ad Blocking, Private Browsing.
  3. Anybody that have experienced the same and know more about the new functionality in IE.8?

kgun, we are all users in our offices and homes of Opera - and have been for many years and would not go without it and all its functionality - and have experienced the same issue you mentioned under 1.

We put this down to the fact that Opera is the only one of the three browsers that is close to complying with the W3 Org's standards, whilst FireFox is the next closest and IE is a 'mile' away, as they say in racing parlance.

Frankly, IE is sooooo bad, we never use it unless some backward website design requires the user to use IE. We have not used the stated functionality of IE8 so cannot comment my friend and we are unlikely to even download it unless we are forced to do so. We all have IE6 or 5 installed.

The only application we are forced to use in IE is SAP, which is what an outside service provider uses for a particular small service that we have to use in our business. On an observation, SAP is extremely bloated software, so is a good 'bed-fellow' with MS, though SAP is 'streets ahead' of any MS application.
